Dee Edwards was a remarkable woman who always put people first, believing deeply in their value and potential. With patience, energy and wisdom, Dee embodied integrity and progressive vision, passionately striving to uphold the highest standards within the Guild of British Camera Technicians (GBCT). A true people person and force of nature, she connected with every Guild member, offering wide advice and friendship to all who needed it, regardless of how busy she was. Dee's dream for the GBCT and the industry she loved centred on education and training; she championed accessible, high quality courses. She saw the bigger picture long before others, advocating for excellence that would uplift not only Guild members but the entire industry.

 

The Mission

 

The Dee Edwards Foundation will support education and progression in the camera department by providing financial assistance to charities, organisations, groups and individuals pursuing their career in the camera department. The Dee Edwards Foundation is committed to ensuring Equity and Inclusion as an organisation and in its allocation and distribution of acquired funds. 

 

We will collaborate united by a shared commitment to making camera department education free and accessible to all. Contributions to a unified funding platform with continue Dee's legacy and create brighter futures everywhere.
